About Me
I’m Trent (TAC Newman), a bioinformatics researcher based in Melbourne, originally from New Zealand. My background spans molecular biology, genomics and evolutionary genetics, with a focus on making sense of complex biological data.
For me, analysing sequencing datasets and other biological data is an exciting challenge! I often combine technical problem-solving with biological insight. I'm especially interested in applying genomic approaches to understand variation, development and disease.
I like things that are well made, interesting, or unexpectedly funny — and occasionally attempt to make some of those things myself.
